Emotional eater here. Used as a comfort / coping strategy during a very dark time, and ended up trapped in a cycle since. It's been 17 years on and off ๐
I hate to admit it, but I don't think I've ever actually been released from it really. I found fasting useful in the past as I'm very all or nothing, if that makes sense. Also, I'm 100% certain that a big problem or part of this is my work patterns. I work in the home care setting, so have three different shifts. I know I could do more, try harder, but I end up just kind of repeating the same things over and over, promising the change "next time" or the classic "Monday morning".

Thanks for sharing.
Can I ask how you've tried to release from the cycle?
What worked for you?
Cheers,
Rick
